Revised Responsible Fatherhood Management Information System
The Responsible Fatherhood Management Information System (RFMIS) is a Microsoft ACCESS database developed by the Department of Health and Human Services as an instrument to monitor the outcomes of fatherhood programs participating in the Partners for Fragile Families demonstration program. TFF used RFMIS to collect data from TFF's eleven demonstration sites. In its original form, RFMIS collected intake and assessment information on program participants as well as monthly changes on outcomes ranging from establishment of child support to change in marital status. After TFF's experience with RFMIS data, TFF consultants improved RFMIS reporting functions and developed many new database queries and other functions to help data managers better track fatherhood program participation. TFF is now offering the revised RFMIS database as a free resource to fatherhood practitioners and program administrators.

Public Use Data Files
TFF's Master RFMIS database contains data on roughly 900 fathers from 11 communities in Texas. There are over 300 variables for each father in the TFF database. A demographic overview of TFF fathers and more information on the data collected by TFF can be found in TFF's Final Report. It is TFF's intent to eventually allow researchers and other interested parties to download TFF's database for public use. However, the database is currently not available for download. If you are interested in TFF data, please contact Jennifer Bellamy at Columbia University at jlb2109@columbia.edu.
