About TFF

The Texas Fragile Families Initiative (TFF) was an innovative state-wide demonstration project developed through the partnership of the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health and the Center for Public Policy Priorities. The Initiative was designed to facilitate the development of community-based services for young, low-income, fathers as they support the emotional, physical, and financial needs of their children.

During its demonstration period (July 2000 through May 2004), TFF was engaged in multiple layers of activities: capacity-building to local programs and their staff, training and technical assistance to state agencies, public policy education, recruitment of funding partners within both private foundations and public agencies, and community awareness building.

TFF concluded its eleven-site statewide demonstration project in June 2004. This website provides information gathered during the three year initiative and includes the TFF Final Evaluation report and other resources related to best practices for work with fragile families and responsible fathers.
